What is HHE?
HHE stands for Harvesting Health Event - A Rural Wellbeing Day.
HHE is a FREE community event created to support the health and wellbeing of people living and working in rural and regional communities. Designed with farmers, agricultural workers, their families, and the wider community in mind, HHE brings together health professionals, local services, guest speakers, exhibitors, and community groups in one welcoming location.

Comprehensive Health Checks
Attendees will have the opportunity to schedule a private appointment with qualified nurses from Echuca Regional Health and Lockington & District Bush Nursing Centre for a comprehensive health assessment designed to identify key risk factors and support long-term wellbeing.
From diabetes and cardiovascular risk to mental health and lifestyle habits, these assessments provide valuable insights to help you take charge of your health and stay ahead of chronic health conditions.
Included in each Health Check:
BMI Calculation
Blood Pressure Measurement
Mental Health Assessment
AUSDRISK diabetes risk assessment and referral to the Life! Program (where appropriate)
Lifestyle questionnaire covering diet, physical activity, sleep, smoking/vaping and alcohol consumption
Recommendations for relevant health screening tests
Optional referrals and support pathways as appropriate
Participants will receive personalised feedback, practical advice and guidance to support their ongoing health journey.

Meet Gaby.
At just 31 years old and a mum of two young boys, Gaby never imagined a small mole would change her life.
What started as a mole on her neck being checked and dismissed as “fine” eventually became a devastating melanoma diagnosis. After noticing a lump where the mole had once been, Gaby spent months advocating for herself, attending appointments, following up results, undergoing scans and biopsies, and pushing for answers.
In June 2025, she was diagnosed with melanoma cancer. By them, the cancer had spread. Despite intensive treatment, Gaby has since been told her cancer is incurable and is now relying on palliative treatment and hoping for access to clinical trials.
When asked what she wishes she had done differently, her answer is simple:
“My biggest regret is not going to a skin clinic/specialist when I first noticed the mole. Things could have been very different if it had been picked up and treated earlier.”
Gaby also wants others to know:
“If you think something isn’t right, keep asking questions. Keep advocating for yourself. Don’t give up because you think it’s probably nothing. Whether it’s your health, wellbeing, or something that doesn’t feel right, follow it up. No matter how big or small, YOU MATTER.”
